Tata Motors has launched the ‘Samarth’ programme to address four critical areas of drivers’ well-being. These include Swasthya (wellness), Sampatti (financial well-being), Siksha (education) and Surakshit Samarth (safe and sound). Under the four heads, the CV major, through the ‘Samarth’ programme has taken upon itself to reach out to more than five-lakh drivers every year. Those drivers that enrol under Swasthya will be provided with two comprehensive health checkups covering six health profiles and 57 tests. Under the programme, the drivers will be covered for hospitalisation coverage worth Rs.50,000 per year. Drivers that enrol under Surakshit Samarth would get an accidental death or disability cover up to Rs.10,00,000 per year, per vehicle. Drivers that enrol under Sampatti Samarth would avail of Nationwide Financial Literacy Camps to encourage investment habits among drivers through SIP. Drivers that enrol under Siksha Samarth will avail online tutoring and career counselling for children.
